Trek Highlights
Stok Kangri – 6150 m, is the highest mountain in the Stok Range of the Himalayas in the Ladakh, India. Despite its altitude, Stok Kangri is a popular peak and is often climbed as an initial non-technical foray into high altitude mountaineering and considered to be highest trekable summit in India.
Day 01: Leh (10 Mins drive)
Early morning you will be received by our representative and escort you to hotel. Rest Day at Leissure. O/N Leh.
Day 02: Leh – shoe trek – around Leh city
After breakfast drive leave for local Leh city by walk, visit to Shanti Stupa & surrounding, later back to hotel. Evening at Leisure. O/N Leh.
Day 03: Leh to Martselang to Chogdo (1 Hr Drive + 3 – 4 Hrs Trek)
After Breakfast drive to Martselang and start trekking to Chogdo. O/N Tent.
Day 04: Chogdo - Gyuncho La (4600 m) - Camp at 4350 m (6- 7 hrs Trek)
From now on, we will follow a new and rarely travelled route through the valleys to the east of our objective. Today, we turn towards the west into a tributary valley that leads after a long and gradual ascent to the Gyuncho La. We descent a few meters bellow to establish our campsite.O/N Tent.
Day 05: Camp at 4350 m - Shang La (4800 m)-MathoPhu (4350 m) (6 – 7 Hrs)
Today, we will cross many spurs and minor passes with occasional views northwards towards the Indus Valley and the peaks beyond. We climb up to the Shang La and then descend to the Tokpo River. Afterwards we will trek downhill to a nice camping place.O/N Tent.
Day 06: Matho Phu - Matho La (4820 m) – Base camp(4,968m) (4 – 5 Hrs Trek)
After early breakfast leave for Base Camp, by crossing Matho Pass, At the pass, colorful prayer flags flap in the wind, with the Zanskari range in the background. Afterwards, we descend steadily along the Zingchen River. Then head towards southward. It involves crossing the stream at several points during the forward march. You reach at the camp after vertical ascent. O/N Tent.
Day 07: Base Camp to Summit (6,150m) to Base Camp (8 – 10 Hrs Trek)
Keep your torch and other climbing gears ready before you set off early morning around at least by 3 am. Start Climbing Stok Khangri – 6150 m, is the highest mountain in the Stok Range of the Himalayas in the Ladakh, India, which is more technical at the summit. You can follow the same route back to the camp. Overnight in Camp
Day 08: Base Camp to Stok to Leh (4 – 5 Hrs Trek + 40 – 50 Mins Drive)
Morning after the breakfast walk down to Stok, drive back to Leh.Evenin g free time at Leisure.O/N Leh.
Day 09: Leh to Delhi (10 Mins Drive)
Morning post breakfast drop at Leh Airport to fly back to Destination. Journey ends here.
